How the test works
Pick your tables and a time, then answer as many questions as you can. Type each answer and press Enter or ✓. A right answer turns green; a wrong one shows the correct answer for a moment. Your score is how many you got right, and your best score for each length is saved on your device.
Use the test to build speed once you know a table. To learn new facts, start with practice; to prepare for the Year 4 check, try MTC practice.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good score on a 1 minute times tables test?
Around 20 correct answers in a minute (one every three seconds) shows you know your tables well. 30 or more is excellent.
Can I choose which tables are in the test?
Yes. Pick any tables from 1 to 12 before you start; the default is the 2 to 12 times tables, like the Multiplication Tables Check.
